Bell will only call you if it’s an urgent matter. Automated calls from them are not unheard of as they use this system to contact you about your account. Telemarketing calls are one of the main reasons you get calls from Bell. Simply block the numbers using your phone, so they do not bother you again.
Let’s look at the many reasons you think Bell is calling you, then move on to the steps to stop it.
There are a lot of ways companies and people can call you. It’s not necessarily Bell, but other businesses as well.
However, since Bell is a telecommunications company, people will usually point to them when they receive many unwanted calls.
Here are some of the reasons why you get calls from numbers you do not know:
1. Automated Calls from Bell
If you’re a Bell subscriber and have contacted them, they can call back to talk to you about your concern. They also use automated calls when you have payments due.
2. Telemarketing Calls
Telemarketers can use systems that change their numbers to appear as they come from Bell. If you have not contacted Bell, the one calling you is likely a telemarketer.
Similar to telemarketers, robo callers can also call you and change their numbers, so they hide their identities.
4. Fraud or Scam Calls
This is the type of call you want to avoid at all costs. They can mask their numbers and even show that they come from reputable companies like Bell.
These are the different types of calls you can receive if you do not take the steps we will describe below.
The nature of these calls can be dangerous, so if you start getting calls from unknown or suspicious numbers, perform these steps right away.
Of course, getting unwanted phone calls is incredibly frustrating. The good news is that you can make it stop once and for all.

Now, if you really want it to stop, there are steps that you can take to get rid of this problem once and for all.

Canada has transparent rules when it comes to telemarketers and robocalls. One such practice is to stop calling you if you request to remove your name and number from their list.
If the telemarketer you are talking to is legitimate, they will honour that and drop you from their call lists.
The catch here is that you will need to answer one of their calls, but if you do, these are some of the things you need to remember so you can get your number off their call lists.
- Ask to get your name and phone number removed from their list.
- Ask for a toll free number and address to verify your request.
Note: That’s it. Just those two steps will get telemarketers off your back. Of course, it only works with legitimate companies and businesses.
You will know that it’s a spammer or scammer if they call back again after your request.
Bell has an anti-spam service that you can use to get rid of unwanted calls.

If none of these steps seem to work, there is still one more that will significantly minimize the number of unwanted calls you get.
