Different Reasons Why Does Bell Keep Calling Me
There are a lot of ways companies and people can call you. It’s not necessarily Bell, but other businesses as well.
However, since Bell is a telecommunications company, people will usually point to them when they receive many unwanted calls.
Here are some of the reasons why you get calls from numbers you do not know:
1. Automated Calls from Bell
If you’re a Bell subscriber and have contacted them, they can call back to talk to you about your concern. They also use automated calls when you have payments due.
2. Telemarketing Calls
Telemarketers can use systems that change their numbers to appear as they come from Bell. If you have not contacted Bell, the one calling you is likely a telemarketer.
3. Robocalls
Similar to telemarketers, robo callers can also call you and change their numbers, so they hide their identities.
4. Fraud or Scam Calls
This is the type of call you want to avoid at all costs. They can mask their numbers and even show that they come from reputable companies like Bell.
These are the different types of calls you can receive if you do not take the steps we will describe below.

- Listen and wait for 3 beeps.
- Dial the number you want to block.
Note: There are some numbers that will not allow you to block your information. An 800 or 900 number will need your data for billing purposes.
Solution #2: Block the Number on Your Smartphone
Using an iPhone or Android gives you more versatility when blocking unwanted numbers.
They come with features that allow you to blocklist a certain number with just a few taps on your screen.
Here’s how to block suspicious numbers on your smartphone:
For iPhone users:

Doing this will ensure that the number will not call you again even if you change phones.
Solution #3: Ask to be Taken Off Their Call List
Canada has transparent rules when it comes to telemarketers and robocalls. One such practice is to stop calling you if you request to remove your name and number from their list.
If the telemarketer you are talking to is legitimate, they will honour that and drop you from their call lists.
The catch here is that you will need to answer one of their calls, but if you do, these are some of the things you need to remember so you can get your number off their call lists.
- Ask to get your name and phone number removed from their list.
- Ask for a toll free number and address to verify your request.
Note: That’s it. Just those two steps will get telemarketers off your back. Of course, it only works with legitimate companies and businesses.
You will know that it’s a spammer or scammer if they call back again after your request.
Solution #4: Use Bell’s Anti-Spam Service
Bell has an anti-spam service that you can use to get rid of unwanted calls.
