Tivo will give you the full right over the recordings your device creates and store on the digital cloud the ability to store them in your PC and external hard drive possibly.
You’re eligible to transfer your recordings to a computer and then redirect them to a hard drive connected with the corresponding computer.
However, you must mind the size of these recordings as if the hard drive on your computer doesn’t have enough capacity, the process will fail.
Another key moment is the format your PC runs. Windows 10 and Windows 7 usually have a built-in player which will broadcast the recordings you’re playing, but we cannot guarantee for iOS and Linux.
Most users suggested that you will have to download a player and format of your own in order to store them.
Now that you know you’re able to do that, let’s first learn how to store Tivo recordings on your PC and then redirect them to an external hard drive of your own.
