If you want to transfer number to VOXI you should know that it’s completely free!
When you’re leaving another network to join VOXI, it’s really easy to keep your old mobile number.
We know the struggle to lose your mobile number and call all your contacts to provide them with the new number.
Luckily this guide will help you avoid all this fuss!
To transfer your old number to VOXI you would need to acquire the current provider’s PAC code, which you need to provide to VOXI. You can either fill up the online “number transfer” form or contact VOXI directly. The transfer takes up to 48 hours!
Let’s first learn more about number transfer and how it works.
Why Should We Keep Our Old Number?
When transferring from one operator to another, we’re automatically provided with a new phone number, which is… troublesome.
In most cases, we want to keep our old number so our contacts can easily reach us even when we migrate to VOXI.
Well, let’s learn more!
Here’s everything that you should know about number transfer:
- It’s 100% free and there are no fees
- Your new SIM card has to be activated
- The process takes 2 business days!
- Your mobile number will not change
In case you’re planning to return or replace the VOXI SIM card, it’s better to take care of those things first, before transferring your number.
Otherwise, it would be pointless. However, the method of transfer is easy as long as you have a correct guide to follow. Let’s proceed further!
Alert: Keeping your old number when migrating from a non-UK operator to a UK operator is not possible.
Let’s jump straight into the steps to transfer your old number to VOXI.
How To Transfer Your Number To VOXI?
In case you’ve never done a mobile number transfer in the past, there are a few things that you should know.
To be informed and prepared for what’s to come, we strongly suggest following the steps below.
If you do things right, the transfer will be completed as early as tomorrow!
Step #1 Activate VOXI SIM
When you want to leave another network to join VOXI, we assume that you’ve recently acquired your new SIM card.
To perform the transfer, you need to activate the VOXI SIM card first, by inserting it into your device.
When you’re ready follow the steps below:
- Open the VOXI SIM Activation Page.
- Insert the 2nd and 3rd line from the 10-digit SIM code.
- From there you need to select a VOXI Plan.
- Once you’re ready you’ll be prompted to Create a VOXI Account.
- You need to insert the default VOXI PIN code (0000) after inserting the card.
This is the Vodafone default PIN code since VOXI is a fork network. In case you’re not prompted to insert a PIN code, re-insert the SIM card.
In addition, make sure that the SIM is on the correct side of the device’s SIM tray. Proceed only after the VOXI SIM has been activated.
Note: You need to be located in the UK to activate a VOXI SIM card.
Step #2 Acquire PAC Code
The next step to transfer number to VOXI is to acquire the current carrier PAC code which is necessary for the migration.
The Porting Authorisation Code (PAC) is different for each mobile carrier and to acquire it you need to send an SMS or contact your provider.
- Simply text “PAC” to the number “65075” and you’ll receive back your PAC code.
In case you don’t receive the PAC code, you might have to contact your provider.
It’s your right to have the PAC code so you should not face any trouble in acquiring the code.
Simply say that you’re migrating to another service and do not allow any offers to change your mind.
Note: The carrier representatives will always attempt to keep you subscribed.
Step #3 Sign In VOXI
The next step is to sign in to your VOXI account via the login credentials that you’ve created in the first step.
Simply go to the official VOXI website, sign in and get your PAC code ready!
In case you’re unable to log in you won’t be able to use the VOXI recovery tool since your number has to be registered with VOXI. So alternatively you can call 191 to reach out.
When the line answers, you’ll need to provide your PAC code and request a transfer.
Note: From a non-VOXI SIM mobile, you should call “03333 040 191”.
Step #4 Transfer Number
When you sign in to your VOXI account, you should enter the “Transfer SIM” option from the menu on the top.
Then you’ll find the form that you need to fill in.
In the number migration form you would need to insert the following:
- The name of your old service provider
- The old mobile number
- The PAC code
- The desired transfer date
If you’ve submitted the request before 5 PM, the transfer should be ready by the end of the next working day.
However, when you submit the “Number Transfer” form on a weekend, you might have to wait up to 48 hours, hence, the first working day.
It’s also important to know that your number will be disconnected at the time of transfer.
The cellular connection on the VOXI SIM (number) will be offline for at least several hours.
It depends on when the actual transfer will take place. So be patient.
Step #6 Keep Your Old Number!
Within 48 hours of your number transfer procedure, you will have your old number lines to VOXI, therefore your contents will be within reach.
After the transfer, you can manage your VOXI plan and even upgrade without any problem. This will not concern your mobile number from now on!
Let’s next learn more about transferring old numbers on the same cellular network!
Transfer from Vodafone/Talkmobile to VOXI?
Since Vodafone, Talkmobile and VOXI run on the same exact cellular network, you don’t need a PAC code to transfer a mobile number.
In those cases, the operation is much simpler and you don’t need to fill in the transfer form on the website.
- Simply Chat With VOXI, and let them know that you want to transfer!
You can also contact VOXI on Facebook or Twitter or contact customer service at +44 808 005 7397 to submit your inquiry.
From there, the rest is easy and quick!
Leaving VOXI?
In case you want to leave VOXI transfer mobile to another cellular network, you’ll need to acquire the VOXI PAC code.
When subscribing to VOXI you’re not provided with the PAC code on arrival, and again, you would need to call “65075”.
Once you’ve got the PAC code, contact your new operator to request a number transfer!
Again, the operation will take up to 2 business days, but sure enough, your old mobile number will be transferred. Well, as long as you’re migrating to another UK cellular operator!
Note: With different operators, the transfer time might take more or less time!
Quick Recap:
Thus, to transfer your old number to VOXI you would need to acquire the PAC code by calling “65075”. Alternatively, you can reach out to a representative to provide you with the code that you need to share with VOXI. It takes up to 48 hours for the number to be transferred.
