Is Xfinity Hotspot Free for Customers?
Yes, Xfinity hotspot has always been free for its customers and its subscribers so that they can use Xfinity’s services even if they are on the go!
However, there’s a specific tier in the plans or services for you to be able to have access to ALL Xfinity hotspots nationwide. But everyone, even non-Xfinity users can access the hotspot at featured and selected locations.
How Do I Know If I Can Access the Xfinity Hotspot?
There are a few ways to find or locate specific Xfinity hotspots that are open to both subscribers and non-subscribers.
The first one is by checking the location map of hotspots (link given at the end of the article). What this does is open a map that will display all available Xfinity hotspots you can access for free.
From there, use the functionality Find a Hotspot, enter your ZIP or the CITY you are in. Try and locate a hotspot with Xfinitywifi. You will easily be able to find featured hotspots because they’ll have special markings and icons on the hotspot locator.
If the system asks you to pay, then you are most likely accessing a residential hotspot, not a featured one.
Oftentimes, these Xfinity WiFi hotspots would be found in places like district parks, shopping malls, train stations, businesses, etc.
