The good news is that for these carriers, these services are already built into your plan. You might have to activate them, but you will not have to pay extra to use these.
Here’s how to use your carrier’s anti-spam service:
For Bell’s Call Privacy:
- Press *11 on your Bell Home phone to enter the menu.
- Press 1 and then 2 to turn on Call Privacy
- To add a number to your list, press *11.
- Press 3, then 1.
- Enter the 10 digit phone number you want to add.
Note: Turning on Call Privacy will screen incoming calls and compare them to numbers found on your list.
Calls not on your list will automatically be redirected to voicemail.
For Telus’ Call Control Feature:
- Log in to your My Telus account.
- Go to Call Control, then Plans & Devices.
