How To Reset Network Data On Android?
If your device is running an Android version, follow the steps below to perform a network data reset:
- Go to the Settings of your Android device.
- Once in the settings app of your phone, click a button called “General Management” or a tab called “System”.
- Find a tab labelled as “Reset” and locate the Network Reset button.
- Click on the Network Reset button once.
Once you have clicked on the network reset, now you will have to confirm that you want to reset your network settings.
Confirm by writing down your device’s password if you have one or simply click on confirm without writing the password.
After confirming, wait for a couple of minutes and the reset will commence. All network settings including all WiFi configurations and saved Bluetooth devices will be erased from your phone and put back to factory defaults.
How To Reset Network Data On iPhone?
If you’re using an iPhone device the steps below are designed according to Apple’s operating system.
Older iOS versions labeling might be different, but you should still be able to navigate through the menus using this guide.
Follow the steps below to perform a network reset on your iPhone:
- Go into the Settings of your iPhone and enter the general tab.
- Scroll all the way down and hit the “Reset button”.
- On the next tab, click on the “Network Reset” button.

How To Reset Metro PCS Data with APN Reset?
Users shared an alternative way of resetting their network details and that could happen with the APN reset.
APN stands for Access Point Name and that type of info supplies your phone with all of the details it needs to connect with a network.
APN reset is recommended when users experience cellular or hotspot issues so here is how it’s done:
- From the home screen of your device, go to the Settings tab.
- Click on Wireless & Networks.
- Click on Wireless Controls or Phone Information depending on the firmware version.
- Click on Mobile Networks.
- Touch Access Point Names or APN.
- Once in the window of the APN settings, click on Reset to default.
- Wait for a couple of minutes.
Depending on your device’s performance, the process can take up to several minutes, but make sure NOT to turn off the device during the reset.
Note: If your SIM card is plugged in, the APN settings should automatically reconfigure and allow the network data to reach your phone.

If after the APN reset you have no access to your Metro PCS data, you’ll need to reach inside the options and configure the settings yourself. Simply go to the Apps > Settings and press on Wireless Networks.
Alert: If you see no T-Mobile APN, simply click on New APN to create a new listing.
Here are the values you need to insert in the APN settings:
- APN Type: default/supl/mms
- Proxy: Leave blank
- Name: T-Mobile US LITE
- Port: Leave blank
- APN: fast.t-mobile.com
- Username & Password: Leave blank
- MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0
- MNC: 260
- MMSC: https://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
- Bearer: Not specified
- MCC: 310
- APN Protocol: IPv4/IPv6
- Authentication type: Leave blank
The APN settings might appear in a different order on different devices. Simply align the setting name with the values above.
Once done hit Menu > Save, restart your phone and you should have access to your mobile data.

From there choose Cellular Networks > Preferred Network Type and make sure to choose the highest speed available (5G, 4G, 3G).
