There are a couple of ways to bypass a Cox WiFi pause, and the guide below will cover a way to achieve this on the most popular operating systems.
So, without further ado, let’s jump in!
1. Unpause Cox WiFi via the Admin Panel
Note: This method would only work if the Cox Panoramic router login credentials are default.
The WiFi Pause disables access to the network, but you’re still locally connected to the WiFi, so you should be able to access the admin panel.
This is only possible if the owner never changes the sign-in details, and from these settings, you can quickly stop the WiFi pause for any device.
Here’s how to access the admin panel on Cox Panoramic router:
Note: First, verify that your device is connected to the Cox router via WiFi or Ethernet cable!
- Open a web browser on your connected device!
- In the URL field, insert the IP address to access.
- Test with all of the following gateway addresses:
- When you land on the login page, you must sign in.
- Test with all of the following default login credentials:
- Username: admin Password: admin
- Username: admin Password: password
- Username: admin Password: Password
- Username: admin Password: Password1
If the owner did not change the Cox router default sign-in credentials, you can log in using one of the options above.
When you sign in, the first thing that you will see is the dashboard with all connected devices and a WiFi Pause Icon next to the paused connections.
Note: To unpause a connection, click on the Pause icon!
2. Change “Spoof” Your MAC Address!
The Cox WiFi Pause primarily uses the MAC address of a particular device to pause or suspend the connection through the settings.
So, if you have the WiFi password for the Cox router, you can easily bypass the Cox router WiFi pause by changing your device’s MAC address.
Note: The Cox WiFi pause bypass is available on almost any consumer operating system!
