2. Hard-Reset the Cox Panoramic
Moving on, the next step is simple, such as performing a hard reset (power cycle) on your Cox panoramic network device.
It is an easy, yet really effective solution that only requires turning off your Cox Panoramic and unplugging the power adapter from the wall.
Here’s how to hard reset your Cox Panoramic in easy steps:
- Press the power button on the Cox Panoramic.
- Tip: The button is on the left side of the logo.

3. Inspect the Cox Input Wiring
Inspect the following connections on your Cox Panoramic setup:
- The Coaxial Cable connecting your router with the wall outlet
- The Power Cable plugging your network device into power
- The Ethernet Cable connecting your modem and router
Improper cable connections will prevent any devices from connecting with the Cox Panoramic network (WiFi).
To resolve such blunders, you need to thoroughly examine the cable installation of your panoramic network device and verify that all cables are in proper condition and secured.
It’s important to ensure that the Coax and Ethernet cable is plugged-in tightly into their ports as shown in the image above.
In case the top light is still orange, unplug the Ethernet cable from ETH port #1 and try ETH port #2, but verify that you’re not using the TEL 1 & 2 ports.

- Use a web browser to insert “http://192.168.0.1/”.
- Wait to get redirected to the login page of the GUI.
- Write “admin” for both username and password.
- Once logged in, go to “Firmware” or “Software Update”.

Though the position must be centralized, it’s best to place it in the room where you’re most often at.
For example, a large portion of users place their routers in the living room or kitchen, where they connect most devices, hence better optimization.
Tip: When choosing a spot for your Cox Panoramic, keep in mind that the higher, the better!
7. Test Cox WiFi Compatibility!
Instead of focusing purely on your Cox Panoramic WiFi, it’s also recommended to test the network via another (secondary) device.
This could be your laptop, smartphone, tablet, console, or any sort of smart TV with 2.4 GHz WiFi support.
- Simply connect a secondary device to your Cox Panoramic WiFi!
In case all of your other appliances are capable of connecting with Cox’s panoramic WiFi, then focus on troubleshooting that one device.
Verify that the firmware is upgraded and mainly that the “WiFi” feature is set to ON.
Note: Incompatible devices will not be able to discover the 5 Ghz broadband of your Cox!
8. Factory Reset the Cox Panoramic
If all else fails, the best last step is to factory reset your Cox Panoramic device, which is the ultimate and most-powerful solution at home.
This method will bring back the initial router settings and erase all configurations such as Firewall, Proxy servers, and WiFi settings.
Here’s how to factory reset a Cox Panoramic router/modem in easy steps:
- On the back, near the Coax input, locate the pinhole.
- Using a sharp object, reach inside and press.
