The reason for the error could be that you don’t have enough available funds to purchase the title you’ve selected.
Sign into your mobile banking and make sure that you have enough funds available!
When you’re ready, hop back into the Sky TV Store and check whether the error will appear upon attempting to purchase a title.
Make sure that you leave a few extra pounds on top, so you can be confident that the transaction will go through this time.

Solution #3 Restore Purchases
If you’re a Sky TV subscriber and you can’t find titles that you’ve bought in the Purchased Tab, you’ll need to Restore Sky TV Purchases.
Such an issue often appears when you’ve bought a title on one device but you actually want to watch the content on another device.
- Sign in to your Sky TV Account on skystore.com and tap on Restore Purchases!
Once the restoration is over, you’re ready to locate the titles in the Purchased Tab.
In case the titles do not appear, or you’re still unable to perform a purchase, jump to the next solution!
Solution #4 Sign Out/In Sky Account
Sometimes a temporary problem might prevent you from making a purchase.
One of the most simple approaches is to simply Sign Out and then Sign In to your Sky Store account.
This method takes almost no time, regardless of whether you’re using a computer, smartphone, or tablet.
Simply tap on Sign-Out and wait for the page to refresh. When it’s done tap on Sign-in, insert your credentials and you’re ready to attempt another purchase!
Tip: Test purchasing a different title, we recommend testing with “free” content.
Solution #5 Switch Devices
Sometimes, even if rarely, the Sky Store purchases might fail due to a temporary issue with your device.
This is why you can either Restart your device or test performing a purchase on a secondary machine such as a computer, laptop, or mobile tablet.
Another important thing when switching devices is making sure that you’re connected to a good internet/WiFi since the Sky Store is an online service.
In case the purchase went through on your secondary device you can easily hop back on your previous host, and enjoy the TV title.
Tip: You can use any device with an online browser to access the Sky Store website!
Solution #6 Check For Outages!
In case you still see “account not enabled for purchases” when attempting to buy a title from the Sky TV Store, perhaps the issue is on their side.
This is why it’s important to check whether the Sky Store is currently online and whether there are planned or unplanned outages.
- Simply go to the Sky Service Status and check the Streaming TV section!
When you see “No known issues in your area”, it means that the Sky Store is currently working and you should be able to make purchases.
In contrast, if you see a red triangle saying “known issues in your area” you should wait and periodically check whether the services are online.
Note: Planned and unplanned outages can last up to 24 hours!
Solution #7 Item Not Approved
In case nothing helps and your Sky Store account is still not enabled for purchases, perhaps the item you’re trying to buy is not yet approved.
What that means is that essentially the title will appear in the store but will not be available for purchase and download.
This is possible to happen and usually takes 48 hours after the title has been uploaded to the store to become available for purchase.
Since you can’t manually check when a title has been added, you would need to try again tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.
Beta Testing?
In case you’re involved in Beta testing you should know that such accounts are not eligible for purchases and there are further restrictions.
You can find more info on the official Sky website.
