Solution #1 Power Cycle Your Router/Modem
Unlike the reboot, a power cycle will discharge your devices appropriately and remove any temporal glitches that might be preventing the devices from connecting with Hughesnet.

- Unplug the power adapters of both your router and modem.
- Wait for 5 minutes in order for the devices to be completely discharged.
- Once your router and modem feel cold on touch, plug the power adapter back in and turn the devices on.

Solution #3 Update Your Modem
If the fault was not in the wires, then you should update your modem in case its firmware is outdated.
As weird as it sounds, outdated modem firmware could prevent your modem from supplying your WiFi with the internet, even if it is connected with Hughesnet.
Follow these steps to update your modem:
Note: You need to either hook up the machine you’re using to the WiFi or directly to the router via Ethernet cable.
- Open your web browser.
- Click on the search field, write 192.168.1.1, and press enter.
- On the following login screen, use “admin” and “password” for login credentials.
- Once in, head to “Network” click on “Modem” and tap “Firmware”.
- Click on “Check For Updates” and wait for the checker to finish.
- After the new firmware is located, click on “Apply” to install the firmware.
Your modem will now restart and you must make sure that its power supply is not compromised during that time.
Solution #4 Reposition Your Dish
