To acquire Peacock on an old and even non-smart LG TV, there has to be an available HDMI input in order to connect a streaming device.

Some of those devices are Google Chromecast, Amazon Firestick, or Apple TV, and they all support the Peacock app!

Cant Find Peacock on LG Content Store – Why?

Old LG TVs might not include the Peacock app in their dedicated content store, where old and dedicated apps can only be found.

However, there are many different ways to stream Peacock on your old LG TV, so let’s review all possible ways for better orientation!

1. Use a Streaming Device!

A streaming device will be able to connect to the HDMI input of your LG TV and when you select the correct source, the feed would appear.

Then using your streaming device you can get the Peacock app installed and start streaming on your old LG TV.

Note: A strong and reliable WiFi is necessary to download and stream Peacock!
  • Google Chromecast

Setting up a Google Chromecast is easy:

  1. Plug the Chromecast into the HDMI input of your TV.
  2. Connect the Google Chromecast to power via USB.
  3. Switch the LG TV source and connect Chromecast to WiFi.
  4. Both your phone and Chromecast must be on the same WiFi.
  5. Download the Chromecast Streamer app to mirror the screen.
  6. Then download Peacock TV, sign in, and start streaming.

Here’s how to set up Peacock on Amazon Firestick:

  1. Connect your Firestick to the HDMI input of the LG TV.
  2. Select the correct TV source to display the stick’s feed.
  3. Connect the Firestick to the WiFi using the remote.
  4. Download and install the Peacock TV app on Firestick.
  5. Start streaming Peacock TV on your old LG TV screen.

Having an Apple TV, instantly means that you have access to the iOS App Store, when you connect the device to any screen with HDMI.

Hence, connect the Apple TV to your LG TV and select the correct HDMI source to display the feed. 

Then, simply reach into the App Store, download Peacock TV, and start streaming!

Note: Your old LG TV does not need a WiFi connection, since the streaming device connects instead.

2. Use Android Screen Mirroring!

In case you didn’t know, your LG TV might have an-built screen mirroring feature that might allow screen casting from mobile devices.

This would allow downloading the Peacock app on your smartphone and screencasting the feed on your old LG TV.

  1. Go into the Android smartphone’s Settings.
  2. Alternatively: Access the Quick Menu.
  3. Find and select the “Cast or Mirror” option.
  4. Wait for the scan to discover your TV.
  5. Tap to connect and cast your phone screen.
  6. Download Peacock on your phone and sign in.
  7. Start streaming on your old LG TV screen.
Note: Your LG TV must be “smart” hence, should be connected to the home WiFi!

3. Use Third-Party Applications!

Even if your LG TV is old, on a variety of smart LG TVs there is an option “AirPlay” which basically allows any iOS device to cast its screen.
