Solution #1 Restart the WiFi Point
An easy solution to your WiFi point issue is to perform a restart on the device. This is going to flush the software and give the WiFi point a good power cycle.
Additionally, restarting your WiFi point is also recommended when the device is experiencing power-related issues.
To restart your Google Mesh WiFi point, follow these steps:
- Go over to the problematic WiFi point.
- Unplug the Power Adapter of the Mesh device.
- Wait for around 5 Minutes while the device is unplugged.
- Reconnect the WiFi point to the power.
- Wait for the device to start up.
After plugging the Google Mesh point back in, head into the Google Home app and check if you could connect the point now. In case the issue persists, proceed further!

- Reconnect the power adapter of the device.
- Turn on the router/modem and wait for it to boot up.
- Reconnect the Mesh device.
- Check if the network is now online.
Note: Attempt to connect your faulty Mesh point only after the router/modem has started up.
Solution #5 Fix Google Mesh Cable Connections
There could be cable issues somewhere along your Mesh setup.
What you should do next is replace the problematic wires and refresh the internet connection of your Google WiFi setup.
Here are the cable connections you should be on the lookout for:
- The Power Adapters of the WiFi points and whether they deliver power
- The Ethernet Cable that connects the main Mesh point to the network device
- The Coaxial Cable of the router/modem that connects with the wall outlet

Solution #7 Reset the Problematic Point
Each of your Google Mesh WiFi points has a Reset button integrated on its back panel.
This reset button will cause the device to go into a Factory Reset which will flush and reset the point’s entire software. This is used whenever you can’t get the device to work.
