#1: Set Your Remote to the Correct Source Mode
Your remote is one of the first things you must check if you determine your guide is not working.
You want to set it to the correct source so it controls your box rather than your TV. It will not show up if it’s not set properly, no matter how much you push the Guide button.
To set your remote’s source, follow these steps:
- Press the CBL button on your Frontier remote.
- Press the Guide or Menu button.
- Check if the guide appears on your screen.
If these steps don’t work, proceed to do these:
- Press the TV button on your remote.
- Press on the Input or Source button.
- Choose the Input that matches where your Frontier box is connected.
#2: Verify Your Guide Works on Your HD Channels
If you have an HD receiver, check if your guide works for both standard and HD channels.
There are instances when the guide won’t appear on your HD channels, especially if you’re using non-HD compatible cables.

- Wait for your receiver to reboot and reconnect.
Tip: Depending on your connection speeds, your box will take up to 30 minutes to reconnect with Frontier’s system.

#6: Refresh Your Receiver via Your Online Account
If a power cycle did not do the trick, you can also perform a refresh via your Frontier online account. Doing this can help it update its settings and fix any errors.

- Visit the Frontier website and sign in to your account.

- Select the My Equipment link.
- Choose the receiver from your device list that you want to refresh.
- Click the Refresh button.
