Why My Epson ET-3750 Won’t Connect to WiFi
Now that you have a good idea of the factors to consider whenever your Epson printer does not connect to your WiFi, we can now look at the causes.
We recommend taking a closer look at your printer settings and drivers, as these are the main culprits that can cause this problem.
Here are the main causes that we have determined from our experience with our Epson printers:
1. Using The Wrong Printer Settings
Not setting your printer up properly, especially when it comes to its networking settings, can cause it to not connect to your WiFi.
2. Outdated Printer Drivers
Printer drivers control every aspect of your machine. Outdated ones can cause some incompatibilities with your device’s networking hardware and cause it to stop working.
3. Connectivity Issues
Sometimes, it’s not all your printer’s fault. Your networking hardware can also cause problems causing your printer to not connect to the WiFi.
4. Temporary Glitches
Bugs and glitches can happen, which can cause problems such as disconnecting your printer from your WiFi.
These are temporary, and you should be able to fix them in no time.
Guided by these possible causes, we can now move forward to the troubleshooting steps so you can get your printing working on your network.
You’ll be able to continue printing your important documents wirelessly.
How to Fix Epson ET-3750 Not Connecting to WiFi
Since there are going to be a lot of devices involved whenever your Epson printer disconnects from your WiFi, you’ll want to reboot all of them.
This includes your printer, router or modem, and computer to refresh their connections with each other.
If a restart does not do the job, here are the other proven solutions that we found out work to restore your printer’s connection to your WiFi network:
Solution #1: Power Cycle Your Devices
If your printer is suffering from connectivity issues, one of the devices that’s directly involved in your WiFi router.
The most common problem is when it’s unable to assign an IP address to your printer successfully.
To fix this, you’ll need to refresh the connection between your router and printer.
The best way to do that would be to power cycle both devices. This will ensure that they reconnect without loading any errors from their memories.
Here’s how to power cycle your devices:
- Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power outlet.
- Do the same for your router.
- Wait for at least 2 to 5 minutes.
- Plug in your router and switch it on.
- Power up your printer and wait for them to connect.
Note: You’ll need to make sure that your router has already acquired the internet signal before powering up our printer.
Pro Tip: As long as they are already connected, they should link up automatically.
Solution #2: Activate 2.4G WiFi on Your Router
Most modern routers are capable of using two different frequencies for their signals. The OG 2.4 GHz and the quicker 5 GHz bands.
However, not all devices are compatible with 5G WiFi, and the Epson ET-3750 is one of those.
If you’re using a printer such as the ET-3750, we recommend that you check your router and make sure that the dual-band feature is at least switched on.
Better yet, make sure that 2.4G is activated since all devices can use it.
Here’s how to activate your router’s dual-band features:
- Open your router’s dashboard via a web browser.
- Login to your router to access the configuration page.
- Go to Wireless or Advanced settings.
- Select Network Settings.
- Enable 2.4 GHz or Dual-band.
Note: If you have a dual-band router, the 5G connection will usually have a 5G at the end of its WiFi name.
Solution #3: Connect Your Printer using WPS
There are instances when your printer can see the WiFi network but will have a hard time connecting to it.
Instead of connecting your printer to the network by typing in the WiFi password, you can also do it via WPS.
Here’s how to connect your printer using WPS:
- Press the WiFi icon on your printer, then press the OK button.
- Select WiFi (Recommended).
- Choose Start Setup.
- Press the Push Button Setup (WPS) button
- Press the WPS button on your WiFi router.
Note: You should be able to see the Connect icon on your printer’s display to know if the connection is successful.
Solution #4: Update Your Printer Drivers
Outdated drivers can cause a network fault with your printer. It can be easy to set up a network printer and forget about updating its drivers.
There are instances when manufacturers can push an important update, and you won’t be able to get it.
To update your Epson printer, you’ll need to use a separate computer with the updater software installed. It’s going to make your life a lot easier since it will do much of the work for you.
Here’s how to update your printer’s drivers:
- Open the Epson Software Updater on your computer.
- Choose Epson ET-3750 as your model.
- Check Firmware Updater, then click Yes.
- Proceed to the next step by clicking OK.
- Click the Start button on the Epson Firmware Updater screen.
Note: Do not use or switch off your printer while it is updating.
Solution #5: Reset Your Printer’s Network Settings
Since your primary concern is that your printer is unable to connect to your WiFi network, you can only choose to reset its network settings.
You can reset your machine to factory defaults, but you’re going to delete everything, and setting it up will take longer.
Your best option would be to reset only the network settings, so you’ll only have to work on that after the process is completed.
Here’s how to reset your Epson printer’s network settings:
- Navigate to the Settings menu using the arrow buttons.
- Choose Restore Default Settings, then press OK.
- Select Network Settings.
- Choose Yes to confirm.
Note: You will need to reconnect to your WiFi since the process will delete all your network connections.
If the network reset could not get the job done, you can also attempt to do a full reset and see if it resolves the issue.
Additionally, you can also contact Epson’s customer support for assistance.
They should be able to recommend whether your printer needs repair or replacement.
