It’s the default username and password, and you should be able to log in to your modem’s dashboard.

Solution #3: Restart Your Network in this Order

After confirming that your WAN status is down, you want to take the necessary steps to get it back up and running again.

Restarting your modem is one of the steps you can consider. However, the more appropriate action to take would be to restart your entire network.

Performing this step ensures that you refresh the whole network and not just a part of it.

It’s possible that a certain network component can cause the LED notification light to flash red, and rebooting everything will clear it up.

Here’s how to restart your entire network:

  1. Turn off your Bell 2000 modem and unplug it.
  2. Turn off routers, hubs, or switches connected to your modem.
  3. Unplug all devices for at least 2 minutes.
  4. Plug your modem and turn it on.
  5. Turn on the rest of your networking devices.
Note: Wait for all your networking equipment to start up and reconnect.

  1. Get a LAN cable. Your router should have one in the box.
