There are a lot of different models of Anker chargers, involving wall plugs, wireless chargers, portable battery banks, and even magnetic batteries.
The one thing they all have in common is that they connect to our phones via a charging cable to optimally increase the battery level.
In case the phone is not charging, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to solve the issue:
1. Unplug > Replug the Anker Charger!
If your Anker charger uses the wall plug design, perhaps the metal connectors are loose from the outlet, making the Anker charger power supply insufficient.
The best first step against the issue would be to unplug and replug the Anker charger from the power source!
While unplugged, check whether the Anker charger connector pins are bent, accumulated with dirt, or whether there is any visual defect.
In addition, also take a good look at the power source to identify anything that might be obstructing the Anker charger connectors from contacting.
Tip: Leave the Anker charger unplugged for more than 60 seconds to perform a power cycle!
2. Switch to Another Power Source!

4. Test with a Different Cable!
It’s highly possible and not excluded that the Anker charger is working just well, but the reason why your phone is not charging is due to a faulty cable.
Regardless of whether you’re using the USB ports or the lightning outputs of the Anker charger, the cable might be the culprit.
- Simply, test charging your phone with another compatible cable!
You can use the following cables to charge a phone via an Anker charger:
- Lightning to Lighting (for Apple)
- USB to MicroUSB (old Androids)
- USB to USB-Type C (new Androids)

In case the secondary device is charging just well, perhaps the reason is in your mobile device software or due to a faulty charging port.
Quick Tip: Reboot your mobile phone and test the Anker charger again!
Have You Actually Tested the Cable?

In case you didn’t test the cable, connect your phone to a TV, computer, laptop, or another power adapter to justify that the cable is functional.
6. No Charge – Anker Power Bank!
If your Anker power bank is not charging your phone, the first thing that users assume is that there is no charge available.
Well, sometimes this happens even when the power bank has been connected for hours and the true culprit is the cable and adapter used for the charging.
- Connect the Anker power bank to a working wall outlet for 30 minutes!
To tighten the circle of possibilities even further, ensure that the cable and adapter that are used to charge the power bank are functional as well.
However, in case the Ankwer power bank can’t be charged, and hence can no longer charge phones, perhaps it’s best to check the warranty.

Anker Portable Charger not Charging iPhone?
In case the Anker power bank is not charging your iPhone, there is an easy way to perform a factory reset and hopefully solve the issue.
This reset only refreshed all services which in most cases is enough to sort out any software-related issues and your iPhone will start charging!
- This reset is only applicable for Anker 757 portable and station (PowerHouse)
- Locate the RESET label above a pinhole.
- Using a sharp object to reach and press.
- Then, hold the Reset button for 10 seconds.
- The Anker charger will then factory reset.
- Connect your phone to test the charging.
Note: In addition, also disable the “Power Saving” switch (move to the UP position).
Wireless Anker Charger – Not Charging iPhone?
In case you’re unable to charge your iPhone with a wireless Anker charger, perhaps this type of wireless charging is not supported.
Only iPhones 8 and above can utilize wireless charging by being positioned (glass back facing down) on the wireless Anker charger surface.
In case the phone is not charging, ensure that the Anker charger is connected to the power as well as that other phones are able to charge.
In addition, remove any phone cases or anything on the glass back of your iPhone to ensure that the wireless charging is not obstructed.
