We’ve got 2 general methods. With or without a Sky TV Box so based on what you’ve got included in your setup, follow the respective method.

Method 1. Without a Sky TV Box!
Let’s learn how to achieve Sky Remote to Samsung TV pairing without a Sky TV Box!
Step #1 Acquire The Remote’s Version Number
Your first task is to acquire the Version Number of your Sky remote.
This code is printed on the inside of the Battery Latch and could only be read if you uninstall the latch.
In that regard, turn your remote upside down and save the code. The code should look like this “SkyHD rev.9” but with different digits.
Note: Do not get confused with the other serial number on the latch that isn’t used.
Step #2 Navigate to Sky.uebv.com
Your next step is to navigate to sky.uebv.com, where you’ll be able to get the Setup Code.
In order to reach that Sky website, you’ll need a browser and a device that is connected to the internet.
Press on the search field and paste the aforementioned address to reach the website.
Note: Typing the address incorrectly will not send you to the appropriate page!
Step #3 Acquire the Setup Code
Once you’re at sky.uebv.com, it’s time to generate the unique setup code for your TV.
Follow these instructions to acquire the setup code:
- On Sky’s page, press the “Version Number Slide” Field.
- Select the Version of your Sky Remote.
- Next, press the “Please Enter the Make of your TV”.
- Select “Samsung TV” in the options below.
- Enter the Model of your Sky remote you’ve acquired in the previous step.
- Select “GET MY CODE”.
After a few seconds, your unique setup code will be generated. It consists of 4-digits.
Note: The setup code will be used to help your Samsung TV recognize the remote.
Step #4 Activate the Pairing Mode
To proceed with the setup, you’ll have to put your remote in Setup Mode!
- Press the TV Button and then the “Select” and Red Button together
Keep holding the Select and the Red button for 10 seconds before letting go of them.
This will successfully put your remote into pairing mode, and you’re ready to finalise the connection.
Note: The remote’s LED will blink, once it is put into pairing mode.
Step #5 Insert the Setup Code
To finalise the setup, you’ll have to Insert the Setup Code that you acquired earlier.
As already clarified, its code consists of 4-digits that you’ll have to press in consecutive order to program the remote successfully.
Messing up with the code’s value will also prevent the remote from connecting to the Samsung TV device and reset the setup process.
In that regard, type the code from left to right by pressing each of the keypad buttons on your remote consecutively!
Note: To test if the remote is paired, press the Volume +/- on the remote!
Method 2. With a Sky TV Box
Here’s how programming Sky remote to Samsung TV works, with a Sky TV box!
Step #1 Power On TV & Check Remote
To undergo an easy setup of your Sky remote, there’s a quick preparation process!
In this step, you must verify the functionality of both your devices, to eliminate complications during the setup. To verify that, you must turn on your TV and check the Sky TV remote.
Note: Keep in mind that for the Sky remote to beep, it must be paired to the Sky TV box.
Step #2 Press the ‘Home’ Button
To begin the setup, you’ll have to launch a Prompt on your Sky Box Software!
As the title of this step suggests, pressing the ‘Home’ button on your Sky remote will launch that prompt, which you’ll have to follow.
- You’ll have to be standing In Front of the TV when pressing the ‘Home’ button
Note: The prompt that will occur will represent a setup menu for foreign remotes.
Step #3 Navigate to “Remote Control”
In the prompt that occurred just now, you’ll have to navigate towards a specific page, in order to get your Sky Q or other Sky remote paired.
As we’ve already clarified, the prompt consists of navigation menus, through which you’ll have to go and select your Sky TV remote.
Here’s how to reach the “Remote Control” tab:
- Using your Sky remote, Scroll Down.
- Select “Setup”.
- Now Choose “Remote Control”.
- Press the “OK” Button.
Note: The “Remote Control” tab will have a menu, containing a variety of remotes.
Step #4 Select your Sky Remote Control
After navigating into the tab that will allow the setup of your Sky remote, all you have to do now is select the type of remote.
The menu that you’ll be seeing on your Samsung TV could be browsed with the Sky remote and in order to proceed, you must select a type.
- Using your Sky remote, browse down and highlight your remote’s exact model
Note: Choosing the incorrect remote will prevent your Samsung TV from finishing the setup.
Step #5 Enter the Setup Code
Once your remote has been selected, you’ll also have to select your TV Brand.
Scroll down through the available TV selections and choose “Samsung TV”.
After that, all you have to do is select the “Find it For Me” Button, to make the TV search for the Sky.
Follow these instructions to enter the setup code and finalise the pairing:
- Once pressed the “Find it For Me” Button, hold 1 and 3 on your remote.
- Keep holding the buttons for 10 Seconds.
- Wait for the Setup Code to appear on your Samsung screen.
- Using the Keypad Buttons on your remote, Enter the Code.
- Press “Program” or “Setup” on your screen.
If you’ve written the setup code incorrectly, the setup will fail and you’ll have to enter the code again, but correctly this time. Be patient and take your time to finalise the pairing.
Note: The setup would take 1 up to 3 minutes until the Sky TV Remote is found.
