3. Verify Your Internet/WiFi Connection!
One of the most important steps is to verify that your ITVX streaming device is connected to a robust and reliable internet connection.
If you’re using WiFi, you need to make sure that your internet is 800 Kbps or faster in order to stream live TV without buffering or any interruptions.
You can test your internet speed here!
Optimize your internet connection and prevent fluctuations and downtime, reboot your router, and relieve some bandwidth.
If using WiFi, move closer to your router and test ITVX Live.
Are You Using a VPN?
You should know the ITVX app is only available in the UK because this is the only location with the rights to broadcast its content.
So if you’re in the UK, disable your VPN, and to make streaming abroad possible, we recommend using AtlasVPN to connect your IP to a British server!
Test via Hotspot: Have you tested streaming ITVX Live on a different internet connection?
4. Test ITVX Live on Different Playouts
Sometimes, the issue with ITVX Live does not come from the app or your browser; instead, the fault is sometimes related to your playout device.
The easiest way to verify this would be to test whether ITVX Live would work on another platform.
So, if you have any device that you would be able to use for downloading and testing the ITVX application, you’ll be able to determine further.
If ITVX Live doesn’t work on any unit, it’s likely an unreported outage. In case the ITVX Live works, then it’s from your device.
Note: ITVX is available on Mobile, Samsung/LG TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Xbox, Sky Q/Glass, Firestick, Roku, and various cable boxes.
5. Sign Out and In Your ITVX Account
In case only the “Live” section is not working on your ITVX, you’re likely experiencing a bug rather than an issue.
In that regard, a simple step would be to sign out from your account and then sign in, which will refresh the services and hopefully restore the ITVX Live streaming.
Here’s how to relog from your ITVX account:
On Web:
- First, select your Name at the top.
- Then, choose the “Sign Out” option.
