- A title will be only available on one device at a time.
- You can download up to 50 titles onto a device.
- Up to five devices can download and store titles.
- You must be connected to Cox WiFi to download.
- A title must have finished recording before download.

How to Watch Recorded Shows On Cox Contour App?
Utilizing the Cox Contour mobile application has been made easy and accessible to any user possessing the necessary Contour equipment.
All recordings completed and stored by the connected Cox Contour DVR will be available in the cloud service within the COx application.
The Contour application is available on:
- Apple devices with iOS 10.3 or higher.
- Android devices with OS 4.4 or higher.
- PC/MAC with Windows 7 or above.
How to Watch Recorded TV Shows on Cox Contour on Phone?
Note: To watch the recorded shows on your phone, you must get the Cox Contour application!
1. Download & Setup the Cox Contour App
Available for both iOS and Android, the Cox Contour application offers vast viewing options concerning your Contour equipment.
You can store recordings made by the TV box into a “Favorites” list or even schedule TV shows or movies to be recorded at specific times.
How to Setup the Contour App On Android?
- Open the Google Play store on your Android.
- Press the search field and type “Contour” next.
- Press “Search” and download the first app.
- Wait until the app’s installation has finished.
- Open the Cox application to test the platform.
How to Setup the Contour App On iOS?
- Open the App Store on your iPhone/iPad.
- Type “Contour’ in the top field and search.
- Download the official “Contour” application.
- Confirm that you wish to install the Cox app.
- Once downloaded, open the app and test.
Tip: Activate “Automatic Updates” for the Cox application once installed!
2. Access the “Recordings” Section!
Once you’re within the Cox application, the next step is to access the section containing all Contour DVR recordings.
Upon launching the platform, you will see multiple bubbles, all of which take you to a different configuration or setting of the platform.
The most-left bubble should be the “Recordings” tab!
If no recordings are displayed, make sure no filters are applied by default from the application.
So, press the filter button at the top and choose “All” to view all media recorded by the DVR.
3. Pick a Title and Start Watching!
And as easy as that, you’re now looking at all recent recordings made by the DVR.
To start viewing Contour content on your device, all you have to do is pick a recording and access the streaming player.
Once within the streaming player, you will access advanced customizations for the recording, such as playback speed, volume, and quality.

A page within the Cox website allows verified users to review content created by the DVR as long as you’re signed in with your client account.

- Open the browser app on your macOS/Windows device.
- Press the search field and type “watchtv.cox.com” next.
- Press “Enter” to get redirected to the official Cox website.
- Insert your login credentials into the required login fields.
- Once done, press the “Sign In” button to gain access.

If Contour’s mobile application doesn’t seem to work correctly on your Android/iOS device, attempt to fix it in the following ways:
- Reboot the mobile device from the settings.
- Check the internet connection of the device.
- Check if the Contour application is updated.
- Clear the cache for your Cox app platform.
- Reinstall the app from your Android or iOS.
If neither worked for you, there could be a temporal service outage with the Contour application.
In such a case, wait for at least 30-40 minutes, and if you cannot access the app, contact Cox for further assistance in resolving possible account-related problems.
