The internet cable is connected to the blue Ethernet input port on your router/modem!
Here’s how to reconnect the internet cable with a stand-alone D-Link router:

- Turn off the Router.

- Reconnect the Internet cable.

Solution #3 Refresh The Coax Modem Connection
Your modem could be having power issues, which could also result in an offline router and blank WiFi light on the device.
A great way to resolve problems with your modem, is to power refresh the device, using the coaxial cable and the power button on the device.
Here’s how to perform a power refresh on your modem (if you’re using one):
- Press and hold the Power Button on the modem.
- Hold the button down for 60 Seconds.
- Let go of the button.
- Disconnect the Coaxial Cable from the phone jack.
- Wait for another 3 Minutes.
- Reconnect the coaxial cable and turn on the modem.
- Check if the WiFi light on your D-Link router is still blank.
With the Coaxial input refreshed, you should once again, restart your router/modem and check whether the WiFi light will turn on this time. In case it doesn’t proceed further!
Note: After the refresh, it might take up to 3-4 minutes until the WiFi lights turn on.
Solution #4 Replace the Network Cables
There could be a fault in the network cables in your setup.
Especially if you’re using a modem along with your D-Link router, there are overall 2 independent network connections that must be healthy for the router’s WiFi to work.

Solution #5 Reset the D-Link Router

Here’s how to reset your D-Link router:
- Make sure that the D-Link router is upand running.
- Grab a thin object to use for the reset (paper clip, needle, toothpick).
- Turn the router the other way so the ports are in front of you.
- Locate the Reset Pinhole near the yellow Ethernet port.
- Use the instrument you’ve acquired for the reset and insert it into the hole.
- Keep holding the reset button for 10 Seconds.
- The unit will reboot automatically.
Notice: Do not unplug, turn off or interact with the router before the reset is finished.
Solution #6 Replace Router Power Adapter
If the problem with the WiFi light persists even after the reset, then most certainly, your router isn’t receiving any proper charge.
That problem could be caused by an issue with the power supply of the device (the power adapter).
The easiest way to solve the issue is to replace the power equipment.
