How to Fix the BGW320 Blinking Green Light Easily?
Tip: Follow the solutions chronologically!
1. Activate the BGW320 WiFi Gateway
So, if you’re at the first-time installation of your AT&T BGW320 gateway, then after connecting the device, you’ll see a blinking green light.
This means the gateway is connected to the service box (network) and is ready for the initialization process.
To set up your AT&T BGW320 gateway, you’ll need the following:
The AT&T Smart Home Manager app is available for Android and iOS, so if you still have not downloaded the software, feel free to do so now.
Then, sign in to your account, verify that you have an existing AT&T account to log in to the application, and complete the setup initialization.
How to Activate BGW320 Wi-Fi Gateway
Here’s how to activate your BGW320 gateway when everything is setup:
- Locate the AT&T service box in your home.
- Verify that the service box is powered “ON.”
- Open the AT&T Smart Home Manager app.
- Then, tap on the “Set Up Equipment” button.
- Scan the QR code on the BGW320 gateway.
- Tap on the “Get Started” button in your app.
- Connect the ONT cable to your service box.
- Info: The box may have a cover you must lift.
- Connect the ONT cable to the Wi-Fi gateway.
- Connect the gateway to the electrical socket.
- Follow the steps in the Home Manager app.
- Wait for the BGW320 gateway to update fully.
- Name your network and complete the setup.
Note: If the setup succeeds, the blinking green light should turn solid white!
2. Switch to Another Power Source!
If you see a blinking green light next to the power connector on the AT&T BGW320 gateway, it’s possible that the device is not receiving a sufficient power supply.
The A/C LED indicator should always be solid green, and when the LED blinks in green, the A/C source may be inconsistent.
So, the best way to overcome power fluctuations from the source would be to verify that your AT&T Wi-Fi gateway is connected directly to the outlet.
So, remove any third-party connectors such as electrical extenders, power dividers, or smart plugs.
Tip: If the Power LED blinks green, connect your gateway to a different outlet!
3. Power Cycle the BGW320 Gateway
If you have carried out the AT&T BGW320 gateway first-time setup previously, but the service green light started to blink unexpectedly, this may be a system bug.
Hence, you should perform the power cycle process on your gateway to refresh the system and resolve any minor glitches.
Here’s how to power cycle your AT&T BGW320 gateway:
- Press the Power button to turn off the gateway.
- Then, unplug the gateway from the power outlet.

- On iOS, select the “Remove This App” option.
- Then, open the Google Store or the App Store.
- Next, find the “AT&T Smart Home Manager” app.
- Then, tap the “Install” or Cloud + Arrow button.
- Wait for the app to get installed, and then sign in.
When the Smart Manager app is downloaded and installed, and you’re signed in, scroll up and use the activation steps from earlier in the guide to set up your AT&T BGW320 gateway.
If the activation process succeeds, the Service indicator will switch from blinking green to solid white.

5. Connect via WPS the Correct Way!
If the AT&T BGW320 gateway WPS button is blinking green, then the button has been pushed, and the WPS Mode has been enabled.
This means that you must now interact with your WPS device, which you want to connect with, to complete the WPS setup and establish a connection.
Typically, the WPS setup works by pressing the WPS button on both devices within 2 minutes so they can communicate over the network and connect effortlessly.
If you’ve pressed the WPS button accidentally and now it’s blinking in green, you must wait a while or restart the gateway.

6. Factory Reset the BGW320 Gateway
The final and best solution against the BGW320 flashing green light is factory resetting your AT&T gateway.
This will completely reinstall the operating system of the gateway and will provide you with a fresh opportunity to perform the initialization process, which should help!
Info: The WPS LED light will start blinking in green during the factory reset!
Here’s how to factory reset your BGW320 gateway in easy steps:
- Verify that your BGW320 gateway is powered on.
- Then, locate the Reset button on the back panel.
- Press and hold the Reset button for ∼20 seconds.
- Then, wait for your gateway to restart automatically.
When the factory reset is completed, the Service LED light should start blinking in green, which means the gateway is ready to be activated.
