Are you experiencing ALDI mobile reception problems? You’re not alone, so keep reading!
The reception issues on the ALDI mobile could be due to various factors, including issues with your mobile, the network configuration and the signal.
In this guide, we’ll help you uncover the culprit causing your ALDI mobile reception issues and help you resolve your problem quickly.
If you are facing ALDI reception issues refresh the connection, correct your network settings, optimise your signal as much as possible and eventually reset the networking options.
Reasons for ALDI Mobile Network Problems
The reception on your ALDI mobile is the signal strength you can use to benefit from services such as calling and texting.
When the reception is bad, disconnected or entirely gone, you will need to inspect factors such as your phone settings, ALDI SIM, carrier signal, and more…
Here’s why you’re experiencing network and reception issues on ALDI mobile:
This is why your ALDI mobile is facing a reception problem.
However, it’s very easy to locate where this problem comes from, and it’s even easier to solve the problem. Let’s troubleshoot!
How to Fix ALDI Mobile Reception Problems Quickly?
Try all the solutions below!
1. Check Your ALDI Membership
If you’re experiencing problems calling, texting or using ALDI network services on your mobile, the first step is to check your service and whether it’s expired.
Your ALDI services will decline progressively after expiration based on how long you haven’t been paying.
If you’ve received an expiration message from ALDI, here’s what you need to know:
Service Expiration: > 90 days
If your ALDI service expires in less than 90 days, you will still receive calls and texts, but you won’t be able to perform calls and texts.
Service Expiration: < 90 days
At this point, you’ll not only be unable to perform calls and texts but also stop receiving them until your service is renewed.
Service Expiration: < 120 days
If your service has expired for more than 120 days, you can’t call or receive calls, and to reactivate your service, you’ll need to purchase a new ALDI SIM card.
Service Expiration: < 180 days
This lengthy inactivity has a downside because your ALDI mobile number will be returned to the owner’s telecommunication company.
2. Refresh Your ALDI SIM Service
When experiencing reception problems on ALDI mobile, refreshing the SIM card’s signal from your mobile is one of the most helpful solutions.
To do so, you’ll need to remove the SIM card, reboot your phone and ensure the SIM card is appropriately embedded into the mobile’s tray.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on exactly what to do:
- First, you must open your ALDI mobile’s SIM tray.
- Info: You will need a pointy tool such as a needle.
- When you eject the tray, gently remove your SIM.
- Restart your ALDI mobile using the Power button.
- Verify that the indicator on the top says “no SIM”.
- Then, insert the SIM card back into the mobile tray.
- Wait until the ALDI mobile connects to the network.
When you’re ready with the refresh, you should check the signal strength of your ALDI network by looking at the cellular indicator.
If you have 2 bars or fewer, continue with the troubleshooting.
Reminder: Have you tried calling anyone?
3. Verify Your SIM Card Activation
If you’ve just got your ALDI SIM card, and you’re experiencing reception problems, you must first activate your service.
So, the next step is to verify that your ALDI mobile is activated, which will help you determine if the problem comes from issues with your account/plan.
To verify that the ALDI plan is activated, go to ALDI SIM Activation and follow the on-screen prompts.
Select the prompt representing your location and continue with the instructions that may require you to perform extra steps.
Note: When ready, reboot your mobile and test if you still have ALDI reception problems.
4. Optimise Your Signal Reception
The reception problem may occur due to an ALDI network signal degradation caused by many factors, such as obstruction, interference and location.
Here are a couple of examples of ALDI mobile signal interference:
- Using a smartphone case with a metallic coating.
- Standing under large metal or concrete surfaces.
- Being away from a cellular tower outside the city.
- Standing under the ground (basements/tunnels).
So, if you relate to one of the signal interference factors mentioned above, it’s normal for your mobile device to be out of ALDI reception.
Your location matters the most regarding reception problems, so you must perform a test to determine whether this is the culprit.
Move outside (if you’re indoors), raise your ALDI mobile in the air and look at the cellular indicator and whether the reception improves.
Tip: Try texting since SMS uses less data and requires much lower signal strength than network calling.
5. Refresh the Carrier’s Connection
A quick way to solve ALDI network reception problems is to refresh the connection from your carrier to your device.
This is possible by toggling on and off the Airplane Mode, which will temporarily disable your cellular access to the network, resetting the connection.
On Android, the Airplane Mode is found within the “Network & Internet” tab, while on iOS, you can toggle the feature on and off from the quick menu.
We recommend turning on the feature and keeping it working for a few minutes.
Note: With Airplane Mode “ON,” your mobile is offline.
6. Correct Your ALDI APN Settings
The APN settings (Access Point Names) are the only way for the mobile to communicate with the ALDI network.
When there is a misconfiguration in the APN settings, you will be entirely out of reception, and you’ll most likely see “No Signal” in the place of the mobile cellular indicator.
However, before you can adjust the APN settings, you must locate them on your mobile, and it’s different for both Android and iOS.
Here’s where to find them:
Android:
- Navigate to the Settings.
- Enter “Mobile Networks.”
- Tap “Access Point Names.”
- Finally, select “New APN.”
iOS:
- Enter the “Settings” app.
- Press on “Mobile Data.”
- Tap “Mobile Data Options.”

Note: Leave the settings you don’t see on your ALDI mobile’s network configuration blank, and save the changes when you’re ready.
7. Reset the Network Configuration
If you’re still experiencing reception problems on ALDI mobile, then perhaps you’ll need to reset the entirety of your device’s network settings.
This is possible via network reset, a feature available for Android and iOS.
However, you’ll also lose saved Wi-Fi passwords and Bluetooth connections along with the carrier settings.
Here’s how to reset the network settings easily:
Network Reset for Android:
- Settings → System → Reset Options → Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth → Reset Settings.
Network Reset for iOS:
- Settings → General → Transfer or Reset [Device] → Reset → Reset Network Settings.
The network reset will require a restart of your ALDI mobile, and when the device turns back on, you will be asked to insert your SIM card PIN.
Then, the cellular settings will be automatically acquired from your SIM card, and you should start receiving signals.
Note: If you don’t get automatically connected to the ALDI network, check the APN settings!
8. Use the SIM on a Different Mobile
If you’ve changed to another mobile device recently, especially if this mobile was purchased second-hand or from abroad, the phone may be locked.
Some mobile devices could be locked to a particular carrier provider and won’t work with others, hence, switching to a different phone may reveal the culprit.
Tip: You can test with any smartphone if the ALDI SIM card fits in the tray!
Quick Recap:
Hence, your ALDI mobile reception problems come from your device’s settings or signal strength.
The best way to solve the problem is to reinsert the SIM card, correct the APN settings, optimise your signal reception, and, if nothing helps, reset the network settings.
