1. Wait a Little Longer!
The first thing you must do is be patient and wait a little longer!
Sometimes, your router encounters temporary issues and doesn’t connect to the internet service, which is why it unexpectedly starts displaying a red light on the router.
- However, such temporary issues persist for a short time and might automatically disappear in a few minutes.
Then, check if the router light changes to its standard colour.
This approach is straightforward yet effective, as the router usually takes some time to initialise or reconnect to the network.
Note: If the red light persists for over 5 minutes, you must troubleshoot!
2. Soft-Reset Your Fibre Router
Sometimes, temporary software or network glitches can also lead to a red light on the router.
In this case, simply restarting your router directly from the app works wonders, clearing out all temporary issues and refreshing the connection on all your devices.
Note: Verify that you have already installed and logged in to the Linksys app!
How to Restart the Community Fibre Router?
- Grab your phone with the Linksys app installed.
- Then, open the Linksys app on the smartphone.
- Next, tap on the “Menu” icon from the top section.
- Locate and tap on the “Network Administration.”
- In the Network menu, press on “Restart Router.”
- Choose the “Restart” button to start the process.
Your router automatically restarts and finishes rebooting after a few minutes.
