Android
Using the Settings app
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap on Network & Internet.
- Tap on WiFi.
- Toggle the switch to the left to turn off the WiFi.
Using the Notification Shade
- Swipe down from the top of your display to open the Notifications panel.
- Select the WiFi icon to turn it off.
Note: You can also use third-party apps, like WiFi Kill and WiFi Analyzer, to turn off WiFi on your iPhone and Android device.
#2: Verify Your Phone’s Network Coverage
Tesco Mobile uses O2’s network, which means they have the same coverage and signal strength in specific areas.
If you have signal issues, the best thing to do is check your postcode on Tesco Mobile’s official website.
- Go to https://www.tescomobile.com/.
- Click on the Coverage tab.
- Enter your postcode or address in the search bar.
- Use the interactive map to see the coverage overlay.
Note: The overlay will display various available coverage levels in your area and the estimated signal strength for each.
#3: Remove and Clean Your SIM Card’s Contacts
If you see the error message Tesco Mobile phone not registered on network, your SIM card may either be dirty or loose.

The APN or Access Point Name settings are configurations that allow your phone to connect to your carrier’s network.

- APN: prepay.tesco-mobile.com
