About Telstra Plus & Rewards Store:
The Telstra Plus is an offer you can get if you have an active Telstra ID entirely for free.
You can become a member 30 days after upgrading your plan and start receiving your Telstra Points.
What are Telstra Points?
The Telstra Points are provided for every eligible spend made through your Telstra account, and you can use those points at the Rewards Store for rewards.
You don’t need to collect points to buy something entirely for free, they are primarily used to lower the price and get the reward cheaper.
- You get 10 points for every $1 spent through your Telstra Plus ID, and the points get deleted after 3 years of not being used.
So, if you want to purchase something through the Telstra Store using your points, but it’s not working, we’re here to help.
Here’s the solution!
How to Fix When Telstra Rewards Store Not Working?
Tip: To solve the problem quickly, follow the guide chronologically!
1. Use the Correct Telstra Store
If you want to buy something from Telstra’s website using your points, you must go to Telstra’s Reward Store.
If you’re on a different page or attempting to purchase something outside the store, items will not appear, and you won’t be able to use any of your points to lower the price.
Verify You Have Enough Points!
Another critical factor is to verify that you have enough Reward Store Points to cover the minimum points requirement.
The minimum requirement is based on the product, so if you don’t have enough points, you won’t be able to use them until you gather some more points.
2. Verify the Telstra Membership
You must have the Telstra Plus membership for your account to become eligible and start to collect Reward Store Points.
If you’re not a Telstra Plus customer, you won’t have any points to spend, so go to the official Telstra Plus portal and join.
If you’re using an account that doesn’t have the Plus membership, verify that you’re using the correct Telstra ID.
Tip: To join Telstra Plus, click here and sign in!
3. Sign Out and In Your Account
A perfect way to resolve bugs related to your Telstra Rewards Store purchase is to sign out and in your Telstra account.
When you’re in the store, and you’re signed in, on the top-right of the screen, you’ll see your profile, and you can exit by clicking and selecting the “Sign Out” tile.
Then, you’ll be immediately sent back to the login page, so you must enter the Telstra ID with the Telstra Plus membership.
How to Recover Telstra Credentials?
If you’ve forgotten your Telstra Plus account’s login credentials, it is important to get them back using Telstra’s recovery system.
If you’ve never done it before, here’s exactly what you must do:
- Go to the Recover Telstra Username.
- Go to the Recover Telstra Password.
- Provide the associated email address.
- Click on the “Let’s Get Started” button.
- Check your associated email address.
- Then, reset your credentials from there.
Reminder: When you sign in, verify your payment method and test whether you can purchase from Telstra’s Rewards Store.
4. Reconnect to the Internet/Wi-Fi
Another reason why you’re unable to purchase through Telstra’s Rewards Store is due to a lack of internet connection and online status.
If your device suddenly disconnected during your purchase or the transaction, you might have received an error preventing you from continuing.
So, for the store to start working, you need to ensure your device is online, thus, reconnecting your device to the internet or Wi-Fi must help.
Tip: If you have internet problems and the store is not working, switch to cellular (3G/4G/5G)!
5. Verify Your Payment Method
When you buy something with Telstra Reward Points, you don’t need a payment when you cover the entire product’s price with your points.
However, in most situations, customers decrease the price as much as possible using their points, but there’s still a portion to be paid.
So, you must ensure that your payment method is valid and that you have sufficient funds to cover the leftover portion of the product’s payment.
The Telstra Rewards Store accepts:
So, if you’re not using one of the supported payment methods, the rewards store won’t work for you.
Also, if you don’t have enough funds in your financial account, the payment will fail, and you won’t be able to purchase the selected product.
Tip: If possible, try using a different payment method!
6. Clear Your Browser’s Cache
If your Telstra Plus rewards store not working, the reason may be on your side, not the store’s.
The entire problem with Telstra’s Rewards Store could be an underlying problem with the online web browser used for accessing the store.
If you have Google Chrome installed, we recommend checking whether the rewards store works, and if you still experience problems, we’ve got you covered.
Clearing your browser’s cache data works wonders and resolves most browser-related problems quickly and efficiently.
Here’s how to clear the cache data on Google Chrome browser:
- Open the Google Chrome web browser.
- Click on the 3-dots menu on the top right.
- Hover over “History” and click “History.”
- On the left side, click “Clear browser data.”
- Select “All tile” from the drop-down menu.
- Check all three boxes below the menu.
- Finally, click on the blue “Clear Data” button.
Reminder: When ready, restart the Google Chrome browser and check whether Telstra’s Rewards Store works for you and whether you can now make purchases.
7. Switch to Another Online Device
Perhaps you’re unable to purchase through the Telstra Rewards Store because of a limitation on your device, which could be many things.
You could have a VPN program installed, or your browser could have an IP address-altering extension, so you cannot use the store.
The quickest way to bypass device-related issues that impact Telstra’s Reward Store is to switch to a different device, preferably a computer.
You can also use a laptop, we recommend using a desktop for making purchases and connecting the device to the modem via Ethernet.
Note: Your device must be connected to the internet!
8. The Store Product is Not Available
Sometimes, the availability of a product listed in the Telstra Rewards Store does not update instantly, meaning your order will fail.
If you want to buy the exact product, you may need to wait a week or two until the availability is updated.
Tip: So, before rushing in and purchasing something else, we recommend contacting Telstra’s Customer Support for more information.
