As the P265 is one of the standard Verizon models, this type of remote will connect to your TV via an IR signal.
Unlike the voice remote that is specific to work with Fios One equipment, any Verizon IR remote (including the P265) can program and work with an external TV!

With Verizon P265 and P283 Fios TV remotes, you’re able to complete the programming with specific codes.

Here are the steps to program a P265 Fios remote to your TV:
- Switch on your TV and the FiOS STB.
- Press the “OK” and “0” buttons on the remote.
- Wait for the red light on the remote to blink twice.
- Type in the TV code that answers your TV brand.
- Keep pressing the “CH+” button on the remote.
- Wait for the red light of the remote to blink twice.
- (Optional) Press the “Power” or “Volume” button.
