Well, the eufy RoboVac offline problem is not something new. Hence, it’s really easy to solve!
Your eufy RoboVac must maintain a strong and reliable connection to a Wi-Fi network to enable and use most of the vacuum cleaner’s features.
When offline, your eufy will be unable to follow schedules, use the “Smart” functions, or map/navigate throughout the home during cleaning.
If the eufy RoboVac stays offline or loses reception periodically, ensure the Wi-Fi details are correct, power cycle the unit, and re-insert the battery pack. If the issue persists, pair the RoboVac to your mobile’s hotspot and perform a Wi-Fi reset.
Let’s explore further details regarding the issue!
Why is My eufy RoboVac Offline?
Whenever the network connection is abnormal or the Wi-Fi signal is insufficient, the connection status of the vacuum cleaner will automatically change to “Offline.”
You will be unable to use any of the application or the cleaner’s “Smart” features while disconnected or the reception is lousy.
Here are the top 6 reasons why your eufy RoboVac is offline:
Does eufy RoboVac Need Wi-Fi?
If you wish to use most of the vacuum cleaner’s smart cleaning features, a stable and persistent connection to a Wi-Fi network is required.
Upon pairing your speaker to Wi-Fi, you will unlock:
- Scheduled cleaning sessions.
- Suction power strength selection.
- Manual eufy router adjustments.
- All features within the eufy app.
So, without Wi-Fi, the RoboVac is quite boring. So, let’s fix this!
eufy RoboVac Offline – Proven Ways to Fix Instantly
Tip: Follow the instructions consecutively!
1. Check the RoboVac’s Wi-Fi Details
The first step is to double-check that you’ve paired the eufy RoboVac with the correct network and that the appropriate password is inserted.
Pairing the RoboVac with an incompatible or offline network (Wi-Fi) can lead to the vacuum cleaner’s “Offline” status and loss of coverage.
Here’s how to verify that Wi-Fi details of the RoboVac are correct:
- Launch the eufy Clean (eufy Home) mobile app.
- Navigate to “My Device” and tap on your RoboVac.
- Locate the Wi-Fi configuration page on the menu.
- Check the existing network of the vacuum cleaner.
You should note that the passcode required for the Wi-Fi network is case-sensitive and you can tap the “eye icon” to display the password.
If you’ve entered the code improperly and tried to pair the eufy RoboVac vacuum cleaner, the application will display a warning message.
Warning: The eufy RoboVac does not support wireless connection with a 5 GHz network!
2. Factory Reset the Robot’s Wi-Fi
You can address lasting issues with the Wi-Fi and coverage of the cleaning robot by restoring the Wi-Fi settings to factory defaults.
By holding a combination of buttons on the outer panel of the vacuum cleaner, you can restore the existing Wi-Fi configurations of the robot to defaults.
Note: The solution will only work on eufy RoboVac models with a Wi-Fi-enabled interface!

eufy RoboVac L50/L60 Series | Hold the “Start/Pause” and “Recharge” a few seconds to wait for the eufy’s voice prompt. |
eufy RoboVac X9 Pro | Hold the “Spot Cleaning” and “Recharge” buttons on the vacuum for up to 3 seconds. |
Reminder: You must re-add the eufy RoboVac within the app after the factory restoration!
3. Re-Add the eufy RoboVac’s Profile
If you’ve configured the profile of the eufy RoboVac improperly or haven’t specified the network correctly, the cleaner may remain offline.
You can address issues with the existing configuration of the vacuum cleaner by re-adding its profile through the eufy Clean (eufy Home) mobile app.
Here’s how to re-add the eufy RoboVac cleaner in easy steps:
- Open the eufy Clean app on the mobile device.
- Tap on the “+ (Add Device)” button from above.
- Next, tap “Robotic Vacuums” from the options.
- Scroll down and select your RoboVac’s model.
- Follow the on-screen steps to add your cleaner.
It’s extremely important to specify the model of your RoboVac correctly otherwise the wireless setup may fail or the vacuum cleaner’s profile will be misconfigured.
4. Soft Reset the Network Router
If the eufy RoboVac keeps going offline, you should perform a soft reset on the network device to erase existing interference or issues with the reception.
The signal produced by most Wi-Fi network routers can severely congest and conflict with other OVA broadcasts and unpair some of your devices.
Here’s how to hard reset the network router to address interference:
- Optional: Hold the “Power” button on your network device.
- Disconnect the Power adapter from the device’s rear panel.
- Next, wait for 60 seconds while the device is disconnected.
- Re-attach the power cable back into the supplying A/C outlet.
- Wait until the “Network” or “Status” lamp turns solid green.
Bonus Tip: Refresh the Network Device:
Based on your network device, the service cable either connects to the back of the modem unit or directly into the router.
Devices that combine the functionality of router and modem are called gateways, use significantly less writing, and are easier to work with, so let’s learn how to refresh!
- If you’re using a router/modem combo, unplug the Coaxial cable from the modem.
- If you’re using a combined gateway unit, unplug the Coaxial cable from the LAN port.
Notice: Some gateways may use a direct Ethernet connection with a service socket!
5. Pair the eufy RoboVac to Hotspot
You can determine if the eufy RoboVac’s connection loss is due to improper network coverage by pairing the cleaner to your mobile’s hotspot.
The hotspot feature is available on any recent mobile device model and can be used as long as you have proper 4G or 5G coverage.
Notice: Weak coverage or insufficient Mbps may prevent the RoboVac from connecting.
How to Pair eufy RoboVac to Android Hotspot?
- Open the “Settings” app on the Android mobile.
- Navigate to the “Mobile Data” or “Hotspot” tab.
- Tap the activation slider to turn on the hotspot.
- Check the SSID and password of your network.
How to Pair the eufy RoboVac to iOS Hotspot?
- Open the “Settings” app on your Apple device.
- Tap “Personal Hotspot” on the header section.
- Next, activate the “Allow Other to Join” setting.
- Check the Wi-Fi password of the mobile hotspot.
By a standard, the mobile hotspot produced by all Apple devices contains the model name of your device.
If for example you’re using an iPhone 12, the name of the hotspot found within the eufy Clean app will start or end on ‘iPhone 12.”
Tip: You can change the name of the network when discovered by other devices in the settings!
6. Reinsert eufy RoboVac’s Battery
If the eufy vacuum cleaner is still struggling to remain connected or won’t connect entirely you can achieve a full system refresh by reinserting the battery.
Unlike most complex robot vacuum cleaners, the eufy RoboVac’s hardware allows seamless and easy battery compartment access.
Here’s how to access and eject the eufy RoboVac’s battery:
- First, power off the RoboVac and turn it upside down.
- Undo the 10 mm screws using a Philips screwdriver.
- Firmly grip the Molex harness around the clasp and push.
- Once the panel comes off, release the battery’s adapter.
- Optional: Clean the battery compartment from debris.
- Place the battery back into the socket of the RoboVac.
- Next, reconnect the male adapter to the female port.
- Place the compartment cover back in and turn on eufy.
Like most robotic vacuum cleaners, eufy’s battery compartment does not use electrical poles and instead has power connectors.
The battery’s adapter must be firmly plugged into the female port right next to the compartment to power the vacuum cleaner properly.
Note: The eufy RoboVac uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with up to 500 cycles!
Quick Recap
To resolve the eufy RoboVac offline status, reinsert the vacuum cleaner’s battery, test the RoboVac on a mobile hotspot, and hard reset the network router.
As a last resort, restore the system settings of the vacuum cleaner to default.
