What is Your Dodo Network Type?
- If your connection type is FTTN (Fibre to the Node) or FTTB (Fibre to the Building), you will require a separate combination of a router and modem devices.
- If your connection type is Fixed Wireless, FTTC (Fibre to the Curb) or FTTP (Fibre to the Premises), you only need a router, as the NBN acts as a modem.

Dodo Internet Not Working – Quick & Effective Solutions

1. Power Cycle the Dodo Equipment
The first step is to conduct a power circulation of the equipment in your Dodo installation to detect potential problems with the service and network coverage.
The power cycle is a useful technique to a great extent, as it addresses issues with the setup’s hardware and the software.
How to Power Cycle Dodo’s NBN Box?
- Locate the Power cable of the NBN unit.
- Disconnect the NBN device from the A/C.
- Wait for 45 seconds while discharging.
- Reconnect the NBN’s A/C wire into power.
- Wait until the NBN turns on and test Dodo.
How to Power Cycle the Network Router?
- Optional: Check if the router has a power button.
- Optional: Hold the power button for 30 seconds.
- Unplug the router’s power cable from both ends.
- Wait for 30 seconds for a total power circulation.
- Reseat the power adapter on both ends and test.
While disconnected, inspect the power adapters’ physical condition and attempt to recognise visual hardware damages, such as rips, cuts or frayed wires.
A defective adapter of the NBN unit must be reported and scheduled for repair by technicians.
Note: Do not attempt to replace the equipment initially provided by Dodo!
2. Check Dodo’s Network Status
If the Dodo network has gone offline, your devices will be reconnected to the internet once the service is restored.
So, the next step is to detect whether there’s an ongoing service outage with the Dodo network and wait until the cellular NBN coverage is restored in your local service area.

- Navigate to Dodo’s Network Status page.
- Click “Current Status” from the side menu.
- Find the location on the provided Dodo map.
- Check the Status Marker on your location.

3. Inspect the Dodo’s NBN Box
The NBN (National Broadband Network) device uses 4G or 5G coverage to distribute a usable internet connection to your network’s router.

So, there are multiple possible ways to troubleshoot a wired Ethernet connection, but the first step is to uncover the cause of the actual Dodo problem.
The Dodo setup uses one mandatory Ethernet cable for connecting the NBN connection box to your router/modem and up to 4 optional Ethernet connections for LAN devices.

Here are the best methods to troubleshoot issues with the Ethernet connectivity:
- NBN Ethernet: Secure the NBN’s Ethernet cable on both ends.
- NBN Ethernet: Test the NBN’s Ethernet wire in a different port.
- Router Ethernet: Connect to the blue port on the router’s rear.
- Router Ethernet: Test the cable on a different external device.
- Replace the NBN or router’s Ethernet wire with a brand-new one.
A defective Ethernet cable may result in inconsistent connectivity status or constant outages of Dodo’s NBN or the connected third-party device.
You can rule out issues with the Ethernet cable by inspecting it physically and attempting to recognise defects.
5. Check for Network Suspensions
One of the reasons why is Dodo internet not working, may be due to your Dodo subscription!
Your subscription might have been suspended due to not completing scheduled payments or managing/cancelling your plan.
Well, you can examine the status of your Dodo service plan by signing in to the provider’s website with your user login credentials on any connected device.

You will require one of the following to view the service status of Dodo:
- Contact Number
- Service Number
- The Customer ID

How to Check Dodo Service Status?

- Open a web browser and navigate to Dodo’s Account Status Page.

- Tap on the “CHECK MY ORDER” button to receive status information.
Once redirected, you can restore, suspend, manage, or deactivate the Dodo subscriptions by pressing the appropriate button.
To renew your subscription, you must update your billing and personal information on Dodo’s “My Services” page.

6. Reset Your Dodo Equipment
Restoring the Dodo NBN and router to factory defaults is a testified solution against cellular coverage or general internet issues.
Your NBN unit and the router should have an in-built factory reset button to restore the device to default configuration settings and start fresh.

How to Factory Reset Your NBN Box?
- Locate the Reset button on the rear panel of the NBN unit.
- Use a paperclip or a pin to push the NBN’s Reset button.
- Hold the button for 10-15 seconds to cause the restoration.
- Release the button and wait for the NBN to undergo a reset.
How to Factory Reset Dodo Router?
- First, press the Power button of the router twice.
- Locate the Reset button on the back and hold it.
- After at least 10-15 seconds, release the button.
- Optional: Set up the Dodo router from the GUI.
Once the NBN has been reset to factory defaults, it will take up to 5 minutes until all mandatory LED lights have become green.
Only then do you reconnect your devices and test if the Dodo network is working.
